My first market was at the Portland Zine Symposium a few years back. I tabled with just the Queer Guide to Disability Benefits zine. My friend and I spent 8 nonlinear months writing it, and as chronically ill co-authors, it was monumentous to both of us that we finally saw a project through to completion. It was the only thing I made that year. And it was enough. It was more than enough. And even if I made nothing, I would have been enough.

Three zines spread over a white background. Black text reads A Queer Guide to Disability Benefits. The cover is a close up picture of a white flower with yellow stamen.

Copies of A Queer Guide to Disability Benefits

Four years later and ~1000+ copies later, our zine has helped thousands. <3
