For many years, I struggled to stay employed because I couldn’t find jobs that met my access needs. It really wore on my self esteem to know that I had so much potential, but couldn’t deliver the consistency and volume abled culture demands.

I longed for something to do with my days that embodied my values, was creative and fun, helped others, and gave me flexibility to tend to my chronic illnesses.

In 2021, I searched for a fun pill organizer for myself but I couldn’t find any. So I started experimenting with making my own fun pill organizer. It was so much fun, I made a few for friends, and word of mouth spread. Everyone wanted to upgrade their pill routine!! Folks were super understanding that I work on chronic illness time and with a longer flexible timeline, I was able to keep up with orders. Word spread like wildfire and thus Pill Joy was born!

I’m finally able to live that dream I longed for. I’m taking it day by day, as chronic illness has taught me to do, but I feel hopeful that this is something I can keep doing because you are all doing it with me. 🥰
